Personality Questionnaire

I think it would be really neat to have some sort of questionairre available to people to fill out that would help them to grasp their character concept. The idea came from those (useless) online tests that tell you what personality type you are. It would give you a bunch of random situations where you would decide how your character would react or feel during that situation. I think, for me and other possible new players, it would help to differenciate between personal reactions and the reactions that are more plausible for that character to have, or maybe even just spark an idea for a character altogether.

It could have some multiple choice answers to it, but I’m not sure if having that would make the responses too limiting. Multiple choice would allow you to have a list of different answers that would appeal to different personality types; like the outgoing person, the shy person, the chaotic person, the egotistical person, et cetera.

Just a base idea. What do you guys think?

Obviously the morality chart is a good starting point to designing personality, but I don't think that it can stop there. Years ago I read something on how to design NPCs, and, while I can't remember all of it, there is some stuff that is useful to PCs too. It involved asking certain questions about the character. Here are a couple as an example:

What is the character's secret?

What does the character have a soft spot for?

There are probably a number of others that people could come up with. I bet we could come up with a list of 10 that would create a very well rounded understanding of who the person is.
